Access to health information is a fundamental right, yet many indigenous communities across the Caribbean face significant barriers in obtaining it. The CARPHA Audiopedia Hub is a pioneering initiative that seeks to bridge this gap by providing culturally relevant health knowledge through a dedicated, co-branded space on the Audiopedia platform. This collaboration with the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) exemplifies how digital audio content can empower marginalized communities, especially indigenous groups, with the knowledge they need to lead healthier lives.

Last week marked a significant milestone in our journey to revolutionize access to health knowledge. Hosted by the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA), we led a dynamic workshop in Belize. The purpose was to bring together individuals from various facets of society, specifically those with direct influence in indigenous communities. Our participants were representatives from indigenous community organizations, individuals from indigenous community radio stations, and delegates from the Belizean Ministry of Health.

The Audiopedia Foundation is excited to announce a partnership with the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA), a regional public health agency that coordinates the collective efforts of its twenty-six Member States to promote and protect the health and well-being of the Caribbean people. Established in 2011, CARPHA has been at the forefront of public health initiatives in the region, providing evidence-based policy recommendations, technical assistance, and research support.
